I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. It gives me joy to announce that I have won the Industry Champion – Personal Services Award at The Good Small Business Awards 2024. I was up for two awards but I never expected to win either. I was so shocked when my name was called out!

The Good Small Business Awards are dedicated to the Small and Micro businesses of the UK who are trying to make a positive environmental impact.  As they put it – “Our purpose is to unite the small businesses across our nation with a common goal to be a force for good in a better world whilst developing a strong stable economy.”

What This Award Means

This accolade recognises my commitment to sustainable principles and practices within the styling industry. 

When some people think of personal styling, they think of vanity and shopping. However, it couldn’t be further from the truth! Body-confidence is at an all-time low, wardrobes are overflowing and fast fashion is ruining our planet. It is time for a slower,  more personal and considered approach to ourselves and our clothes. By promoting self-awareness and body confidence alongside preloved, vintage and using what we already have, I believe we can feel amazing in a wardrobe that doesn’t cost the Earth!

…And I’m so glad the Award judges could see that too!

Looking Ahead

The recognition from the sustainability community is motivating me to seek innovative ways to integrate eco-friendly practices into my services – including new workshops, clothes swaps and continued championing of my clients own creativity – for it is only when we can forge our own trends that we disrupt the fashion industry! I am excited about the future and the opportunities it holds. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
